Our ocean impact update: 550 trees, 42 corals, and more

We started supporting ocean conservation through Only One in 2023, because we wanted our rings and earrings to fund something bigger than the piece itself. Here's where the numbers stand today.

What we've funded so far:

  • 550 trees planted
  • 42 corals restored
  • 76 kg of plastic removed
  • 2.4 tonnes of carbon reduced
  • 15 advocacy actions taken
  • 5 advocacy campaigns funded

To put that in perspective, our plastic removal so far is roughly equal to 7,600 plastic bottles, and our carbon reduction is close to the emissions of 24,000 miles flown.

The advocacy actions are petitions and campaigns we've backed through Only One, adding our voice to policy pushes for ocean protection, not just funding projects on the ground.

These aren't abstract numbers either. Every mangrove tree is tracked to a real planting site, currently across Senegal, Tanzania, and The Bahamas. Every coral is tracked to a real reef restoration site, across French Polynesia, Indonesia, Thailand, and The Bahamas. Each one is tied to a named on-ground project, like the mangrove restoration work with Wetlands International Africa in Senegal, or the coral reef work with Blue Corner Marine Research in Indonesia. As far as we've seen, we're one of the first Philippine jewelry brands supporting a global ocean initiative like this since 2023. It's not the whole solution, but it's real and it's trackable.
